For sectors and ecosystem owners

Managed data space as a service.

Sector-wide data sharing only works when identity, rights, consent and governance are built in from day one. We design, govern and operate the data space so participants move from intent to usage.

What's in the data space managed service

Full Protium stack as a managed service

Trust, credentials, authorization and platform — operated end-to-end by Protium under one accountable contract.

Participant identity, rights and consent flows

Every participant onboarded with verifiable identity, defined access rights and EU Data Act-aligned consent.

Governance model and operating agreements

We co-design the participation rules, the governance forum and the operating contracts that make the data space work over time.

Available via data-space-as-a-service.eu

A scoped, sector-agnostic offering you can engage on directly. Sector adaptation included.

Sector patterns we work with

Energy & utilities

Grid data, smart meter data, customer consent flows across DSOs and retailers.

Finance

KYC data, risk data, partner exchange under verifiable identity.

Logistics

Supply chain data exchange between shippers, receivers and planning systems.

Government

Public data spaces with citizen-controlled access.

Connectivity / telco

Network and customer data as governed B2B services. Often delivered via our wholesale model. See wholesale model →

Industry & IoT

Sensor and machine data exchange between partners and AI systems.

How a data space comes together

01

Discovery

Map the participants, the data, the value flows and the regulatory context.

02

Design

Define identity, rights, consent and governance model. Agree the operating contracts.

03

Pilot

Onboard the first cohort of participants. Run the first real data flows under governance.

04

Scale

Repeatable participant onboarding. Sector-wide adoption. Continuous evolution.

Built on certified infrastructure

Certifications

iSHARE v3 certified · EUDI Wallet ARF v1.5+ ready · OID4VCI · SD-JWT · MCP-compatible · EU Data Act compliant

IP position

100% Protium IP on the Participant Credential Issuer (PR v3) and Authorization Registry. The PR base code comes from iSHARE Foundation as open source (AGPL 3.0). The Ozone platform is proprietary Protium IP.

Deployment posture

EU-only deployment. Multi-tenant by design. Production-grade operations. Audit-ready.

Buyer questions, answered

Who owns the data space — Protium or the sector?+

The sector owns the data space. We operate it under contract. The governance forum is yours to convene; we provide the secretariat function if needed.

How do new participants join?+

Through a documented onboarding flow we operate. Identity verification, credential issuance, consent registration and access provisioning happen in one process.

What standards does this use?+

iSHARE v3 as the trust framework, OID4VCI and SD-JWT for credentials, EUDI Wallet ARF v1.5+ where wallets are involved.

How long does it take to launch a sector pilot?+

Pilot scope depends on participant count, regulatory complexity and integration depth. We size this in the Discovery phase.

How does this relate to EU Data Spaces (Common European Data Spaces)?+

Our stack is built on the same standards. We can plug into the Common European Data Spaces approach for sectors that adopt it.
