Protium operates the trust components and tenant platform under one service agreement. The sector or its appointed partner retains governance and participant relationships.

Usage terms machines can enforce
Data licences are not a PDF in a drawer: usage terms are recorded as machine-readable policies in the credential itself, so the policy enforcement point can allow, scope or deny each request — and log the decision.

Built on certified infrastructure
Certifications
iSHARE v3 Participant Credential Issuer and Authorization Registry. Certification scope and current status are included in the due-diligence evidence pack.
IP position
100% Protium IP on the Participant Credential Issuer (PR v3) and Authorization Registry. The PR base code comes from iSHARE Foundation as open source (AGPL 3.0). The Ozone platform is proprietary Protium IP.
Deployment posture
EU deployment, tenant-level separation and documented operating procedures. Region, SLA and audit evidence are agreed per deployment.

Who owns the data space — Protium or the sector?+
The sector owns the data space. We operate it under contract. The governance forum is yours to convene; we provide the secretariat function if needed.
How do new participants join?+
Through a documented onboarding flow we operate. Identity verification, credential issuance, consent registration and access provisioning happen in one process.
What standards does this use?+
W3C Verifiable Credentials with OID4VCI and DCP for issuance and presentation, EUDI Wallet ARF alignment where wallets are involved, and the DSSC Blueprint building blocks for governance. Where the sector runs on iSHARE, we operate with certified v3 roles; other trust frameworks plug into the same standards base.
How long does it take to launch a sector pilot?+
Pilot scope depends on participant count, regulatory complexity and integration depth. We size this in the Discovery phase.
How does this relate to EU Data Spaces (Common European Data Spaces)?+
Our stack is built on the same standards. We can plug into the Common European Data Spaces approach for sectors that adopt it.
